The program I followed is a detox and weight loss program.

Welcome to my weight loss blog! I don't know about you but I have struggeled with my weight since having our son. I have tried just about every thing from fad diets to pills to strenuous exercise regimes to plans which told you how you could loose weight without any hard work. They were lying! Nothing seemed to work, they were all great to start with but I was never able to sustain them. Until I stumbled across a program that did work. Believe me I tried loads that didn't. If anyone tells you that it will be easy (as I learnt) generally they are lying. Loosing weight and looking after yourself DOES require effort. Anything in life that is worth having generally does.
You can make things a little easier on yourself by doing a few simple things right. This is where following a program comes in. If you are told the right things to do by people who have had success, understand how your body works and with the the right support you can do it! I did!
Once you are used to doing the right things then they no longer become a chore. Also the knowledge you are looking after your body and living a healthier lifestyle is a great boost when you start to see results. Then the more you see results the more of a boost it is again and so on.

What made me do something about my weight.

This is a quote I read that really got me motivated to do something about my weight because it really hit home!

Meanwhile, medical authorities indicate that if you are more than twenty pounds overweight, then you fall into the higher risk category for Type II diabetes, heart attack or stroke, among other illnesses.

Top Tip

Try moving snacks that are laying around the house and put them in a cupboard high up or low down, so they are not within easy reach. Replace with fruit on the sides in the kitchen and in a fruit bowl in your living area. You are more likely to eat healthy food if it is within easy reach. By having the bad snacks put away you are less likely to go and get them if fruit is on the side and to hand.
